Detroit Elks Lodge #34
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has a charitable history going back to post civil
war years. The group originally was made up of a band of entertainers looking to help others.
It expanded from there into a fraternal social group located throughout the United States.
Detroit 34 has been in Michigan for 124 years! We are a proud group dedicated to helping children with special needs and veterans who are on hard times.
To see more about the Elks the reader can click on our logo on the first page of this website. You can also find our phone number and email address.
Among our charitable giving we have what the Elks call their "365 penny bank" program wherein the Lodge provides cardboard penny banks to prospective donor members and they return
the banks loaded with assorted coins. This program supports needy children at summer camps here in Michigan. We ask the public for support in our efforts for these kids. We need your pennies.
Ron Woodhouse
Trustee, Detroit Elks Lodge #34
